5 TIPS TO RELAX

So lets be honest, how often do we take the time out to just RELAX and UNWIND after a long day? I don’t know about you, but that is rare in my weekday week. We come home after a long day, and still have to come home and cook, tend to the family, to the kids, tidy up the mess in your bedroom from getting ready this morning, that we never really have enough time to “clock out” before we go to sleep. In fact, SLEEPING, at night, at the end of the day is considered the relaxing period. NO. This doesn’t have to be just it. You can get home and still relax, hours before you actually have to hit the hay.
THIS… is how!
So I have come up with a few things that I do when I get home to help my body get into the RELAXED mode. Maybe these can help you too! ❤ 🙂
5 TIPS TO RELAX AFTER A LONG DAY….
1. TAKE YOUR BRA OFF!!!
This is for the ladies! If you know that you are not going anywhere once you get into the house, the FIRST most IMPORTANT thing you need to do, is TAKE THAT BRA OFF HONEY!!! Free the twins, release yourself from the imprisonment of your bra! UNWIND! Nothing, absolutely NOTHING in this world feels better than taking your bra off after a long day. Yes, it might not be an attractive sight for some of us from there on out, BUT it’s soooo worth it! Even those that love you, will still love you with the saggy twins!! SO TAKE IT OFF!!
2. TURN DOWN THE LIGHTS/ SCENTS AND CANDLES
Get into the mooooddddd….. TO RELAX that is!! turn down the lights, light some candles, and get some incense going… Nothing will put you in a more relaxed mood. Lavender usually works really well for this, and some calendula. ❤
3. HAVE A GLASS/CUP OF SOMETHING “NICE”!
Now this can mean ANYTHING!!There must be some kind of beverage that gets you in the mood to relax, no? YES!! For some, tea works wonders (like myself, especially some camomile), for others, something a little stronger will suffice. This is entirely up to you. Anything that will get your body relaxing and unwinding. Have some of that. You can even go for seconds! No more though! Its work/school the next day! 🙂
4. TAKE A LONG BATH/HOT SHOWER
Taking a long bath can really put you in the space where there’s just peace and quiet around you. This sets your body into relaxation mode, as the hot water relaxes your muscles and stills you. The same applies to a hot shower. It will PHYSICALLY put your body in a relaxed state once you exit. Very important.
Self explanatory. Sleep must probably be the number one way to relax your body and still your mind. The more hours you sleep, the more relaxed and rejuvenated you will awake!! So get those 8 hours in honey!
