HOW TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF WHEN YOU HAVE BLOGGERS BLOCK

BLOGGING

blogging-7

Hello Everyone!!!

So I thought that Its been a while since I did a blog post for all the bloggers, and recently I’ve been struggling AGAIN (this happens quite a lot when you are a blogger, lol) with bloggers block. Well, not bloggers block per se, but feeling unmotivated to blog. The content is there, however I was just lazy, and did not feel like taking blog photos, products shots, or much worse, even opening my laptop to do my blog posts over the weekend. Completely UNMOTIVATED.

I know I’m not the only blogger who struggles with this, so I thought it would be a great idea to come up with some helpful tips to get you through BLOGGERS BLOCK or NO MOTIVATION TO BLOG.

USEFUL TIPS FOR MOTIVATION…

  1. GET OUT OF YOUR USUAL BLOGGING SPACE

That’s right. LEAVE. Leave the space where you often sit down and pull out your laptop to do your blog posts. I normally do my blog work in our filming and beauty room for Beauty Corner SA, but sometimes I just don’t want to be in THAT particular space. So, go outside, and blog in the garden. Go to a park. Go to a quiet, not so busy, coffee shop. Go and relax and unwind in a different environment and you will be amazed at how much good that will do for your thought process, and blogging ideas will flow much easier. People watch. I love to people watch because it gives me great ideas just by watch and making mental notes of what I see around me.

2. MAKE A LIST OF ALL YOUR IDEAS

Very important. Make a list of all the important ideas that come to you regarding your blog. Believe me, ideas come to you in the WEIRDEST of places! So make sure to carry a little booklet with you everywhere you go, because you could be sitting in traffic and an I idea comes to you. Or you could be in the bath, soaking, and an idea will jump into your head. Make sure you jot them down, no matter how small, insignificant, or “stupid” you think that idea might be, you’ll never know if you can cultivate it into something bigger if you don’t jot it down, and you’ve forgotten it. !

3. RE-VISIT THE BLOG PAGES THAT INSPIRE YOU AND CATCH UP!

So, as a blogger, I’m sure there are MANY bloggers that you also follow and are an audience of! However, when you become a full time blogger (well, I mean when blogging becomes a consistent, weekly or even daily thing for you), you often struggle to catch up with other bloggers posts. Re visiting those blogs and catching up, is also another great way to inspire you to write about something, or bring about an idea in your memory! πŸ™‚ So catch up on others’ blogs! Β Stimulate your mind! πŸ™‚

4. ESTABLISH DEADLINES

Deadlines are the pain in the booty things that will FORCE you to blog. They will force you to be disciplined and constantly on your toes regarding your blog. So, ESTABLISH deadlines! How many posts for the next coming week, what type of posts will they be, that kind of thing. Once you are done with that commit and over the weekend pre-schedule your posts so that you can release all of them on time the next week. πŸ™‚

5. INSPIRE YOURSELF AND ATTEND BLOGGERS CLASSES

I know in Johannesburg, bloggers have a lot of classes that they can attend hosted by different agencies. Classes on how to be a blogger, classes for beginner, intermediate and expert bloggers. Classes on how to manage your blog thorough social media! Many classes! These classes can help you when it comes to cultivating thoughts and ideas on what direction you want you blog to go πŸ™‚ Some agencies that host blogger classes are The Social Agency and Nomads & CoΒ in Johannesburg. πŸ™‚
