FAIRLAWNS BOUTIQUE HOTEL EVENT
How are you dolls doing?
I recently got invited to, possibly one of the best events this YEAR!! (Yep, that is a big statement to make, but honestly, I REALLY loved going to this event). So I was invited to the BEAUTIFUL (and I mean GORGEOUS) 5* Fairlawns Boutique Hotel in Wendywood Sandton, JHB. This place is a retreat away from home, but like only 20mins from home. Its amazing!
I was invited to be one of the first people to view their newly renovated and redecorated section of their hotel, and OMG had NO idea what I was about to witness!!! Honestly, I did NOT see this one coming! I was Blown away… like, BLOWN!
The hotel grounds are nothing short of SPECTACULAR! I’m not even kidding. From the moment you walk into the hotel, you are already transported to an oasis of calm, tranquility and silence (RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF SANDTON nogaal!!). The hotel sits on 5, 5 acres of land! We are talking some SERIOUS space here, with more plans coming in the next few years! It is quiet, the refreshing colours of neutral and beautiful creams perfectly suit the aesthetic of the hotel well! It is beautiful.
As I walked through the hotel, to the meeting place, I looked around and my eyes literally popped at how beautiful this place was.
When I arrived at the meeting place I was greeted with this beautiful sight…
This is the “Courtyard”. This is the space where they were unveiling the newly decorated CourtYard Suites, and MY GOODNESS, I didn’t know what I was in for! NO IDEA!!! 🙂
I started off by having a glass of Steenberg while having a conversation with the Hotel’s marketing manager, as she was telling me a little history on the hotel, and what they were unveiling with the event. She was so sweet, explained everything so well, and was sooo warm. It was beautiful to witness because normally people who work at hotels are normally so stand offish and “cold”, they don’t seem approachable much.
12 rooms were renovated and redecorated by the Managing Director and part owner of the hotel himself, Mr Michael …. These rooms are all individually themed and decorated, and when Michael took me on a tour of the rooms, I couldn’t…!! I just COULDN’T keep it together!! My jaw was DROPPING in each and every room. Goosebumps, wide open eyes, shock, excitement, ALL happened to be at once!!
If you know me very well, you know that I LOVE travelling, I love staying at hotels, and secretly, I rate each and every hotel that I go to- IN MY MIND. LOL. So I got the opportunity to be one of the first to see all these amazing rooms, and of course, for my blog friends, i took LOTS AND LOTS OF PICTURES!!!
This was the first suite I saw!! My goodness, and BLOWN away I was…!!! Each suite is around 54 squared metres, and that is actually QUITE SPACIOUS for a hotel room! The touches of brown and gold. I love how they kept certain vintage pieces in each room from the previous design of the rooms! I loved that they kept memoirs of what the room was before! Nice touch! I LOVE LOVE LOVE linen furniture and the way in which that bed was decorated, I could’ve fainted. The accents, touches of fabric with linen, and the paisley designs, i was SOLD!!
This was another one of the rooms! With blue accents!!! THAT SHOWER WAS EVERYTHING!!! Life!! It just gave me the image of Greece, Crete or somewhere in the Mediterranean, taking a shower outdoors! YESSSS!!!
This is the Marrakesh room, inspired with accents of Morocco. I LOVED THIS ROOM. Everything from the lanterns, to the colours, to the features was just LOVE!!!
That bathroom was EVERYTHING!!!
This was another room that I loved!!
Honestly there are 12 rooms, and I took images of ALL of them! However I cant put all of them in this post! If you would like to see the other ones, like the “Blanc De Noir” room and many others, let me know and I will do another one!
The next installment will be the tour that Lindi from “A Well Heeled Woman” (Google her!) and I had of the Balinese Themed SPA they have on the property as well as some of the goodies we received on the day…. 🙂 If you would like to see the SPA one as well, comment and I will be sure to get onto it ❤
That is it for this installment of the Fairlawns Event!
Have you been to Fairlawns? Let me know if you have! 🙂 I’d love to know!
Until the next one,
Live in Light and Love ❤
