(Ain’t that the truth, lol!)
Welcome back to the FOOD CAFE!!
I’m not going to lie, i have been VERY bad at taking snaps of some of the things I ate in November, and this post is VERY late, but as I’m sure you are well aware, I’ve been a tad busy…! lol.. So there isn’t much for this rendition of the Food Cafe, but, there IS something nevertheless!!!
Having good food, is especially great when you have great people to share it with…
Lets get started…shall we?
So earlier this month I went for a quick brunch with one of my friends and we decided to pop into the Woolies Cafe, and I add this DELECTABLE meal… I forget what this one is called, but it had free range eggs, bacon on a bed of baked beans in a tomato relish in a pan… with toast on the side.
It was a long wait, and I was so frustrated by the time it came, but it was DELICIOUS…
Of course, a side of fresh tea was a must as well. 🙂
Try it out!
I don’t know how many times I’ve used this picture… But this little creation of mine still remains one of my favourite meals for breakfast time at home.
I make it all the time, and switch up some of the fruits in there from time to time. It normally consists of:
- greek yoghurt
- blueberries/raspberries/strawberries (I decide which ones I feel like on different days).
- Dried goji berries
- Honey Glazed almonds
- Peacan Nuts
- Drizzled honey on top
And then you enjoy!!!!
On our trip to Drakensberg about a month ago, cocktails and cheese boards seemed to be a fam favourite with us! On the left is the cheese board with different types of cheese and crackers, with some hummus and on the right was a cosmopolitan (which was FAR too sweet) and a virgin mojito (which turned out to be just…bleh).
So one afternoon i found myself in Sandton around lunch time, and decided to meet up with one of my family members for some “Eatalian”
The Eatalian is a great Italian place that serves some of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted. This was a GREAT day! LOL
The restaurant has a very neighbourhood, homely cafe/deli feel and is comfortable, with great minimal yet elegant decor and excellent food.
This was a definite 9/10 moment for me.
Amongst the 3 of us, we shared a Pescatore and Parma pizza, and we STILL didn’t finish them!! The portions are incredibly generous.! There was a family sitting in the table next to us that day, and one of the ladies was having a pesto pasta that I’ve been dreaming about since! LOL
I’ll have to go back and check it out!
So i kinda have a serious obsession with water bottles, and I recently got this one from the Typo store which i want to share!
Loved the “K” for my name (obvs!) but I loved that its big and was perfect for making my ice cold Vitamin complex dietary drinks. I use it everyday at the office, and is a great booster to remind myself to keep hydrated, especially in the hot spring days we’ve been having!!
What have you been having, or have discovered? I’d love to try something new!
Until the next one,
Live in light and love ❤
