Hello hello HI!!!
Yep, so it’s THAT time again where we tackle some of the food/drinks I’ve been indulging in this past month!
I’m NOT going to lie, for real, I have HARDLY been in restaurants, food markets and things like that this past month. I’ve hardly cooked, purely because I just wasn’t in the mood… and if I did, I wouldn’t document and take pictures of the whole thing becuase it PROBABLY wasn’t that interesting! 😦
When I did go out somewhere, i DID document!
So my family and I (only the ladies, my sisters and my stepmom) have a tradition…
Every sunday, if we are all not busy, we try to find a new place to eat. Somewhere where we have all never been, and mostly a place that has great reviews and different food… we often find these places on an app we have called Zomato, which has access to all the places you can eat, nationwide, but more exclusively, you can customize it, and make it for around your area. You have access to places for take away, cafes, fine dining, bars, and more… Its a super app that provides a lot of help when you look for new places to dine.
This place however, we heard from by my sister Naledi.
Koi is an Asian restaurant which provides traditional Asian Food, but with contemporary style.
We, at home, of course LOVE sushi and Dim Sum, therefore we HAD to give Koi a fair try…
DID WE DIE???!!!!!
We LOVED it soooo much..!! We couldn’t stop raving on about it for the next few weeks thereafter.
We got there and had a platter of sushi, including Tempura Prawns, Rainbow Reloaded, Sashimi, Nigiri, and something else that I’m now forgetting, lol.
Intially before that we had some Dim Sum (Chiken and Ginger),
which was out of this world!!! We had some cocktails to wash the
amazing goodness down.. and the waitress suggested we try “The Hugo”
I won’t even describe it because I wont do it justice…! It was AMAZING!
All in all, it was an amazing day, with GREAT food!!!
Check out the koi food menu here.
I often NEVER have a sweet tooth for anything, but, EVERY blue moon it hits me!
I know I’ve spoken about Craft restaurant before so I wont go into too much detail about it, but we went there this past weekend, and we had to get the Salted Caramel Cheescake and Apple Crumble…
I REALLY dont have words for how PERFECT that moment was for us! It was sooo great…
Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!!!
I never really speak about drinks much on the food cafe posts but I have to mention what a great drink this is if you are a wine lover like myself.
Nevermind the tiny lady appearing there on the left, this shot was taken at home with the family..
Just try the Steenberg Magna Carta….
I’m normally a fan of dark reds, but this one I was quite impressed with and thought I would share.
I couldn’t finish off this post without speaking about this!
If you are an ice cream lover, then you MUST be familiar with the Haagen- Dazs ice cream range….!!!
I wasn’t a fan of ice cream… but ever since tasting the “Salted Caramel” flavour of the Haagen Dazs range, OMWWWW… I just cant put it down!
They sell Haagen Dazs ice creams at your Pick n Pay and Spar stores, but they will set you back a pretty penny…
But trust me, they are SO worth it!!! 🙂
Thats it for this one! Short and sweet! Very sweet!!!
Til the next one…
Live in Light and Love ❤
